Our mission is to make learning accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for everyone who seeks to expand their knowledge and appreciation of Black history.

The Sankofa Symbol

Sankofa is an Akan word that translates to "go back and get it" (san - to return; ko - to go; fa - to fetch, to seek and take).

It symbolizes the importance of learning from the past to build a better future. The Sankofa bird, often depicted looking backward while moving forward, embodies this wisdom perfectly.
